Mary McDonnell says that devotees of Battlestar Galactica are still "so locked" with the show two years after the show went off the air.
The Closer DVD actress, who played Laura Roslin in the striking sci-fi serial, praised BBC America’s determination to re-broadcast the serial from the commencement getting down later this calendar month, sending for the motion "perfect timing".
"Battlestar is so rich and relevant that one time through is not enough," McDonnell told AOL TV. "The fans are still so meshed. Everywhere I go, peoples want to talk about it.
"Since I halted doing the show, I’ve gone to Germany, Italy and Australia to interpret Battlestar at rules, and it’s been so stimulant and piquant. Peoples who loved the show were large thinkers."
McDonnell went on to concede that she often misses her time on Battlestar Galactica despite having moved on to other projections.
"It doesn’t really languish. I opine when you lose someone, it’s the same way. You always sorrow," she said. "The someone doesn’t get exchanged but you feel dilated by having known them. But there is a unhappiness that’s forgotten."
McDonnell was recently reasserted for a spin off of The Closer DVD, the new TNT dramatic event Major Crimes.
She has promised that the serial will continue the legacy of her The Closer DVD character Brenda.
